OUR STORY

Outside is better together.

Field Notes is a fictional outdoor club built around a simple idea: you do not have to go far to feel a little further away.

A SMALL IDEA WITH ROOM TO WANDER

A field guide for the rest of us.

Not every adventure needs an expedition, a new pair of boots, or a carefully edited photo. Sometimes it is a nearby path and a free afternoon.

This concept club makes the outdoors feel approachable through thoughtful route ideas, practical reading, and a simple day planner.

Field Notes is a fictional organization created for CSCE 412 Project 5. Its routes and club identity are illustrative; it does not operate guided trips or take bookings.

A FEW THINGS WE BELIEVE

01 /

Curiosity over distance.

A familiar trail can still surprise you. Pay attention to what is nearby.

02 /

Preparation brings freedom.

Know the route and conditions so there is more room to enjoy the day.

03 /

Care goes both ways.

Look after your companions and the places that welcome you.

Your next good day starts small.
